Congratulations on Your Engagement!

Welcome to the first step of your sacred journey towards matrimony. We are delighted that you are considering the Cathedral of the Incarnation for your special day. Marriage is a beautiful sacrament, and we are here to support you through this blessed time.

 

Weddings are scheduled at the Cathedral of the Incarnation on Fridays at 3:00 pm and Saturdays at 1:00 pm and 7:00 pm.

 

Before that special day, though, there is some planning and preparation that needs to take place

​

It is a requirement of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Nashville that arrangements for your wedding be initiated with a priest or deacon at least six months before the desired date of your ceremony.

​

You will be able to reserve a date for your wedding after the completion of the prenuptial questionnaire that is usually accomplished during your first meeting with the priest or deacon.  Subsequent meetings with a priest or deacon and attendance at a diocesan approved pre-marriage program are also important parts of your marriage preparation.
