Infant Baptism Preparation

The Cathedral of the Incarnation provides a Baptism preparation class designed for parents and godparents of infants. The goal of the class is to help parents become aware of the significance of Baptism as a beginning, not an end, to a lifelong commitment. The one-and-a-half hour class delves into the purpose of Baptism from both a spiritual and practical standpoint. The class also provides them with ideas and tools for raising their Catholic family as a “domestic church.”

Parishioners of Cathedral are required to take the class prior to having the infants baptized. They must do so prior to scheduling the baptism. Anyone may attend this class even after baptism when no preparation program has been available.

Any interested parties are welcome. No reservations are necessary.

The class is currently offered the first Sunday of each month at 9:45 am in room 303 of Saint Albert Hall. Location of the class is subject to change because of holidays or other events.
